Apple and Bacon Baked Beans Recipe
Ingredients
- 1⁄2 to 3⁄4 pound bacon slices, cut in half
- Two 28- ounce cans baked beans
- 1⁄2 cup ketchup
- 1⁄2 cup cider vinegar
- 3⁄4 cup pancake syrup
- 1 tablespoon dry mustard
- 2 cups diced apples, such as Gala or Jonathan
Cooking Instructions:
- Preheat the broiler.
- Arrange the bacon on a pan and broil 6 inches from the heat source for 6 minutes, or until partially done.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- Combine the baked beans, ketchup, cider vinegar, syrup, dry mustard, and apples in a large bowl; mix well.
- Pour the bean mixture into a greased 13 × 9- inch glass baking dish.
- Arrange the bacon slices on top.
- Bake, uncovered, for 1 hour. Stir in the bacon before serving.
