Garlic Cheese Grits

Garlic Cheese Grits

Ingredients
  • 1 cup quick- cooking grits
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1⁄2 cup (1 stick) butter or margarine, cut into 1⁄2- inch cubes
  • 1 cup milk
  • One 6- ounce roll garlic cheese, cut into 1⁄2- inch cubes
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1⁄4 cup shredded American cheese or mild Cheddar
Cooking Instructions: 
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease a 13 × 9- inch glass baking dish.
  2. Cook the grits with the salt and 4 cups water in a large saucepan, according to the package directions. 
  3. Stir in the butter, milk, garlic cheese, and eggs; mix well.
  4. Spoon into the prepared pan. Sprinkle the American cheese over the top. 
  5. Bake for 45 minutes, or until set.
